“PASS IT ON!” (Kurt Kaiser)

FROM MY HEART TO YOURS

“For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.  For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘the just shall live by faith.’ “ {(Habakkuk 2:4); Romans 1: 16,17}

 In the hymn “Pass it On,” Kurt Kaiser, says, “It only takes a spark, to get a fire going, And soon all those around, can warm up in its glowing.”  He’s speaking of course, of the Gospel of Christ, as Paul declares in Romans 1:16,17.  The Gospel, is “the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.”  Think of that.  The righteousness of God, which is given freely to us by God, as a gift, is available to all who will believe.  This is the way we’re justified by God; and “the just shall live by faith.”  This “righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith,” that is, from my faith to yours, and from your faith to someone else’s as we propagate the Gospel by speaking God’s Holy Word, and by our right living.

So – “Pass it on.”

Yes, God gives the gift of eternal life to anyone who will take it by faith! (Romans 6:23) Whoever takes it, will pass it on to others.  How do I know that?  Why, because God says so.  Why, “That’s how it is with God’s love, once you’ve experienced it, you want to sing – It’s fresh like Spring – you want to pass it on!”

Sisters and brothers, this is the way to bring a revival to our beloved country:  PASS IT ON!!

With hope for the future, and love for all, a sinner saved by grace,

Bluegill Bill
